The Christian Education Team realizes that kids learn about their faith in different ways, so it is our goal to involve the entire child in their spiritual growth and development by providing opportunities for them to use their hearts, hands, bodies and minds in engaging activities.
That is why we have chosen SPARK – a Sunday School curriculum designed by children’s education experts to activate faith.
The Bible serves as the Key learner resource within the curriculum and is the Cornerstone of each lesson.
We use the rotation model. In this model, kids spend more than one week on each Bible story and visit a different workshop each week in order to experience the same story from a different perspective. Each workshop is focused on a Bible story and specific activity; such as art, science, Bible skills and games, drama, or music to facilitate hands-on learning and faith exploration.
2 Peter 3:18 reads “…grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” This, too, is our intention for our children here at Rejoice.
